Ensuring all Canadians have Access to Third Party Pension Plans

January 2012

Dear Constituent:
Retirement security continues to be one of the most important issues facing Canadians today. That is why your Conservative government introduced the Pooled Registered Pension Plan. This plan will ensure that all Canadians have access to a third party pension plan and that offering such a plan is not cumbersome on small and medium sized business.

Today, over 60% of Canadians do not have a workplace pension plan. PRPPs will make saving for retirement easier for millions of hard-working Canadians who never had a pension plan before. Canadians work hard to realize their retirement dreams and PRPPs will offer them a new, low-cost and accessible pension option to help meet their goals.

Together with the provinces, the Government Of Canada is working to improve the retirement security income system to make it fair, effective and accessible.

As always please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

 Yours Truly,

- Rick
