Remembering Canada's Heroes

November 2007

Dear Constituent,

November is the month that we as Canadians take time to remember our Veterans and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

This year is particularly significant as it marks the 65th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid and the 90th Anniversary of the Battle at Vimy Ridge, two operations that remain among the finest displays of Canadian courage.

Also this year our government established a ceremonial guard at the National Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa as a sign of respect for our fallen.

Let us never forget those who have risked their lives for our freedom - our Veterans.

- Rick
